KALA; THE KALANCHOES CROPPED TOP
Inspired by the kebaya and qibao, our #local collection combines both cultural and contemporary elements for the 21st century woman. Boasting traditional silhouettes, adapted cultural motifs, old-world elegance and movement-focused fabrics, this line embodies functionality with an air of elegance reminiscent of yesteryear’s women.
The KALA cropped top was named after Kalanchoes; flowers that grows in abundance and is said to bring wealth and prosperity. KALA is a fresh and contemporary take on the qipao, with mandarin collars and elegant butterfly sleeves with an adjustable tie-back design to ensure a comfortable fit. The intricate laser cut motifs inspired by Peranakan tiles are set on -ai. Buttery Skin, which is 4-way stretch, moisture-wicking, breathable and machine-washable.
